The Beckford Inn is a beautiful old Freehouse on the A46 between Evesham and Tewkesbury set on the northern corner of the stunning Cotswolds on the border of Gloucestershire & Worcestershire. Just outside the lovely village of Beckford with history dating back to a local Roman settlement from 60AD.
The Beckford Inn began life as an old Coaching House, the earliest part of this Cotswold stone and brick building dates back to 1750, and it has so many stories hidden in it sloping floors, ceilings and thick walls.
History abounds in the surrounding area and there are many early links with The Romans, The Saxons, many Monasteries and Abbeys and even rumours that Charles II hide out locally when fleeing for his life to France after the Battle of Worcester.
These days The Beckford Inn is well known for local weddings & functions, always busy with the local Cheltenham Races. The Bugatti Owner's Club & Talbot Owner's Club come to us before going on to Prescott Hill Climb. We are also host to sports clubs and local car rallies, even a local hunt often meet here.
The Beckford Inn is in an outstanding location close to so many attractions - you can easily fill all your days with new adventures. Sudeley Castle, Winchcombe village & Hailes Abbey are only a few miles away. Even Stratford Upon Avon is only ½ hour away.
